I used to hate honey. Like, aggressively. The bear-shaped bottle? Tasted like regret and corn syrup.
Then one day, my grandmother came back from Jamaica with a bottle of local honey — no label, no marketing, just thick, golden fire. I hesitated. Then I tasted it. Game over.
That jar cracked something open. Flavor? Sure. But also questions: Why did this taste so different? Why was it so...alive? What the hell had I been eating before?
Around that same time, I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. And let me tell you — nothing will make you look at ingredients, sourcing, and your entire environment faster than an autoimmune disease.
So I started digging. Hard. I found out a lot of the “honey” on shelves isn’t even real. I found out how disconnected most food systems are from actual ecosystems. I also found out that building a transparent supply chain when you’re broke, in pain, and trying to stay alive is… not easy.
But here we are. Kickin’ Bee is my rebellion — against fake food, fake sourcing, and chronic disease. We craft traceable, lab-tested food and beverage products that tastes like the real thing. Nothing added. Nothing to hide. Just real food, harvested in partnership with farmers who deserve better — and tested so you don’t have to trust a label alone.
Our products are for anyone who’s ever read an ingredient list and thought, “Uhhh… what is that?” It’s for people managing chronic illnesses, navigating food systems, or simply tired of buying pretty jars filled with disappointment.
I’m not saying our products will cure you — it didn’t cure me. But clean ingredients gave me a sense of control and connection when nothing else made sense. And that? That’s sweet enough for me.
